Job Summary:   

 

Electrically qualified maintenance plant engineer to work as part of a team in a busy heavy engineering company. 

As a senior engineer you will be expected to be the " go to person" for any planned and reactive maintenance of plant machinery on site    

 

Salary:   

 

£43182 per annum for basic 40 hours

  

HOURS:

 

4 on 4 off with lifestyle bonus of £35.00 per rota'd Sat/Sun shift.

 

Job Description:

 

To maintain manufacturing machinery at all times including satisfying all aspects of maintenance by shift.

To ensure all data recording and feedback is completed accurately and on time, including.

To take the lead role in the initiative process, including identifying improvement opportunities and seeing them through to implementation.

To ensure compliance to the highest level of Health and Safety and Environmental standards.

To maintain safe working practices at all times.

Lead responsibility for maintenance shift personnel.

To undertake training as required to ensure compliance with legislation and to support the company's continuous improvement policy.

To provide cover for absent staff and to work overtime to ensure the needs of the business are met

Effectively communicate/liase, verbally, in writing or electronic mail as required (at all levels).

To provide additional support and/or temporary replacement of appropriate maintenance personnel.

Responsible for first line disciplinary and grievance issues.

A Basic level of ability to use figures/numeracy equal to the use of the computer system (MFG PRO).

Flexible approach and willingness to learn.  

Ability to work within the team but equally to motivate and focus the team with regard to all aspects of plant maintenance.

To carry out other such responsibilities as may be required.

To understand the requirements of the Duty of Care regulations for Waste Management, and to understand the importance of satisfactory completing the Waste Transfer documentation.

To be aware of the internal procedures for waste segregation.

   

Experience:

  

Must be qualified, working towards or willing to undertake training in level 2 certificate in team leading 

  

Experience in problem solving and programming on Seimens S7 PLC's and motor drive systems is essential 

  

Electrical Plant Engineer role will cover all aspects of maintenance including mechanical and electrical responsibilities.
