Job description: This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, creative, experienced and driven Brand Web and UX Developer to join our passionate and knowledgeable Communications team at Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland. The exciting new role as Brand Web and UX Developer will play the pivotal role in supporting and leading the transformation of our web capability and experience. Telling the story of our brand through our website and transforming our business model you will be the go-to person to develop affront and back-end solutions to bring-to-life our web assets with UX at the fore. The Brand Web and UX Developer will be the lead developer, managing external support where needed, providing full technical expertise, managing web projects from inception to test and launch and will develop our capability in this essential area – significantly enhancing our business performance, reputation and continued success. What will I be doing in the role? In the role as Brand Web and UX Developer you will: ? Be responsible for the back-end development of our web assets significantly enhancing their capability and UX for our customers as we transform our 350 year old business ? Design applications, based on our Drupal infrastructure, to bring to life our ambitions through our web assets ? Provide full technical solution and capability together with final solution in accordance with the needs of Marketing leads ? Ensure our assets are developed consistently, building a consistent library of applications – in accordance with our brand ambition ? Development of our Umbraco CMS to meet the needs of our various web projects ? Collaborate with our IT leads in order to develop, design, test and implement technical solutions that future-proof our business during a period of exciting transformation – in accordance with and support of our technical requirements Am I who you are looking for? For the Digital and Brand Content Manager specifically it is important that you have: ? Strong back-end and front-end web development experience ? Experience in Umbraco CMS [essential], Drupal [useful] ? Experience of responsive web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript ? Experience of developing and integrating API's ? Architectural and database design knowledge ? Strong attention to detail in everything you do and passion for searching our new technologies and providing technical solutions that deliver UX ? Knowledge of Creative Suite [preferred] – experience in developing wire-frames, and working Graphic Design to deliver front and back-end development through test and launch ? Graphic front-end experience [preferred] ? Strong understanding of security principles & designing applications to adhere to principles ? A strong focus on customers, collaboration and delivering on what you say ?
