The Role
Due to continued expansion, an opportunity exists for an Area Sales Manager to cover a territory to actively service and develop an existing client bank, to maintain and grow the current sales pipe-line. This is a key role to grow the company business, meet agreed sales targets for the area and contribute to the overall Team/Company success. You will present the Company and its products on a technical and sales level to customer and specifiers; i.e., Architects, Designers, Local Authority, etc. You will undertake formal presentations of the Company products to maintain and create brand recognition in the market place as well as developing a continual program of promotion and benefits strategy. You will manage your own area in the South of England and develop sales opportunities in existing and new markets, ensuring individual targets are met.

The Candidate
You will have proven sales experience, be target driven, have excellent account management skills and enjoy spending time within different market sectors, talking to clients to understand their problems and finding agreeable solutions.

You will be required to be fully conversant with all product lines and to demonstrate a good technical and practical knowledge in front of clients.

You will be responsible for building, creating and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities covering the short, mid and long term prospects for the company.

You will possess strong relationship management skills that will enable you to work with people at all levels to sustain and grow new and existing account business.

Communication in this role is key to success and it is important to communicate and build good relationships with all members of the team.

The Package
The minimum salary payable for this role is £30K. However, the client may pay up to £35K for a candidate who can meet all key requirements and abilities. Benefits include Company car, death in service insurance, and pension scheme. 21 days holiday, rising to 25 after specified period of service.
