The Senior Marketing Manager - Business Banking role is based within Global
Marketing Commercial Banking.

This role is part of the Global Marketing function and is focused on
supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Commercial
Banking Global Business and UK Commercial Banking (UK CMB). The function
focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and
execution of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and
strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer
value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both
a global and market level.

The role-holder will be responsible for managing the relationship with UK CMB
segment teams and developing and implementing segment specific, client-
centric, media neutral, multi-channel marketing activity that support the
segment's business objectives. Activity should engage front line colleagues
and delight our customers.

Through intense collaboration with UK CMB segment teams, global segment teams,
CMB marketing and Customer Experience, the role holder will produce and manage
a segment-specific plan of activity which supports segment commercial
objectives and customer experience improvement objectives.

All activity should be based on customer insight and create clear points of
difference for HSBC. Following the agreed marketing process, the individual
will work with the campaign team to develop clear business and marketing
challenge briefs and drive the smooth and efficient delivery of agreed
activity, ensuring it is tracked and measured appropriately to demonstrate
effectiveness and return on investment.

Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and delivering an effective and measurable insight-based segment
specific plan of multi-channel marketing activity that supports segment
business objectives. Effectively communicating and collaborating across the
marketing function and HSBC product businesses to secure buy-in and alignment
of campaign objectives. Displaying excellent project management capabilities
to manage and deliver multiple, complex initiatives at various stages of
development. Instigating integrated campaigns that use channels effectively
and brief external agencies and internal design resources with regards to
design of creative campaigns.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. marketing Past working
experience in a relevant role, i.e. marketing communications, campaign
management, customer focus Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e.
understanding of the financial services industry is desirable but not
essential Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Chartered Institute of Marketing
and/or Institute of Direct Marketing is desirable but not essential A desire
to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers A
flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself
and others Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to
communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a
meaningful way to wide and varied audiences Built effective networks both
internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work
collaboratively Proven experience of successful project management, utilising
relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery A broad
understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of
analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting A
comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of
ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
The base location for this role is Birmingham.

We are required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 to create
a ring-fenced bank in the UK by 1 January 2019. Entirely new from the ground
up, HSBC UK's head office is opening in Birmingham. The location of this role
will move to our new state of the art offices at 2 Arena Central during 2018.
