The Business Support Assistant Manager role is based within Financial Crime
Compliance, UK Chief Operating Officer (COO) Office.

The role of the Business Support Assistant Manager is to support the Manager
in the provision of subject matter expertise for functions / projects that
require business support around key change initiatives and execution of the
overall Banking Operation strategy.

The Business Support Assistant Manager is expected to support through projects
lifecycles, influencing solution direction as appropriate and taking
responsibility for early risk identifications whilst also contributing status
reporting. They will form relationships with stakeholders from the business
and across the functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Contributes to team performance by: Develop and implement new systems and
processes which increase efficiency and promote better control and governance
globally. Assist in the follow up and management of action points to ensure
initiatives are clearly accounted for, priorities set & objectives met.
Provide project support to the COO team where appropriate. CF Senior
Management CF COO community Work closely with CF management to review all
sources of data are fit for purpose Strong relationships & collaboration
with CF COOs. Demonstrate clear awareness of the operational and reputational
risk associated with the role. Implement processes to drive efficiency. Ensure
robust policies, procedures and control mechanisms are adhered to.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Financial Management
Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Advanced Excel,
PowerPoint and Word Skills Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e.
Support manager, Business manager, Chief Risk and Administration Officer
(CRAO) is desirable but not essential Experience of using relevant software
packages, i.e. Visio is desirable but not essential A flexible and adaptable
approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
Achieved targets and met expectations whilst supporting and encouraging others
to do the same Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability
to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a
meaningful way to wide and varied audiences Contributed productively to team
objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve
shared goals Experience of making prompt and practical business decision, even
in times of ambiguity, considering various perspectives and taking
responsibility for outcomes Planned projects and activities systematically in
line with business priorities, using a variety of analysis and problem solving
techniques Experience of successful budget management and use of numerical
data to assesses and report on performance and/or identify business issues and
opportunities

The base location for this role is Birmingham
