The Finance Business Partner - Wealth role is based within Finance unit.

The role of the Finance Business Partner - Wealth is to be responsible for
bringing together the total Wealth Management view (Cash FX, Investments and
Wealth Insurance Distribution). Supporting all Wealth related activities and
advise the Head of Premier & Wealth UK Business Finance, Head of UK
Premier & Wealth and relevant Product committees on the financial
performance of these products and proposed pricing strategies deployed in the
UK. The role spans multiple brands (HSBC, firstdirect & M&S) as well
as multiple distribution channels.

Your responsibilities will include:
Business partnering responsibilities for the Wealth product lines, focusing on
Cash FX and Insurance Will be required to develop an understanding of the
three Wealth distribution areas (Investments; Insurance distribution and Cash
FX) in order to oversee the total Wealth Management business line Creation of
monthly financial analysis, revised annual forecasts and Latest Estimates and
Annual Operating Plans identifying risks and opportunities Undertake trend,
sensitivity and scenario analysis for the product lines Support any financial
analysis required for Regulatory and Government reporting Maintain product
cost analysis and make recommendations for driving further cost efficiencies
Support development of business strategy and maintain analysis of market
shares of stock and flows of each product line Provide Global Wealth Finance
local insight on the financial data and the UK Wealth business Advise the
business on investment appraisal decisions and post implementation reviews
owning the financial data used including financial benefit tracking
Participate in transformation projects providing the financial insight
required


Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Banking or in a sector
with complexity/strong commerciality Role relevant qualifications, i.e.Degree
- financial or numerate OR qualified Accountant Past working experience in a
relevant role, i.e. Financial reporting, planning and analysis role and/or
Wealth Management commercial role Experience of using relevant software
packages, i.e. Excel Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of FX,
Insurance, Investments is desirable but not essential Experience working in
relevant environment/s, i.e. Analytical, strategic is desirable but not
essential Experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Word,
PowerPoint , Access is desirable but not essential A track record of
delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in
sustainable ways Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term
goals which exceeded the standards in their field Excellent written and spoken
communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex
information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences A
track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in
times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
A comprehensive understanding of business finance and management information
and an ability to use this information to inform decisions and deliver
efficiencies/savings Experience of building and managing complex relationships
with significant customers

The base location for this role is Birmingham

We are required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 to create
a ring-fenced bank in the UK by 1 January 2019. Entirely new from the ground
up, HSBC UK's head office is opening in Birmingham. The location of this role
will move to our new state of the art offices at 2 Arena Central during 2018.
