Procurement ManagerWolverhampton£58,000 - £68,000 + £6,000 Car AllowanceAre you a proficient Procurement Manager with experience across a range of Direct spend? Do you have experience managing and leading Procurement Strategy, including managing a team of Buyers? You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of Procurement objectives across the Directs division, including Major Projects. The scope of this responsibility includes a diverse range of procurement and management activities to include planning and executing contracts and forecasting and managing budgets and associated spend.You Will:• Support the development and implementation of a companywide purchasing strategy• Build and maintain strong working relationships to gain buy- in and engagement with the key stakeholders• Lead and mentor Project Procurement team members• Challenge, enhance and standardise existing procurement practices across all business units to ensure conformity of approach, generate economies of scale and deliver better value for money• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and support in the source of new suppliers as required in partnership with Business Winning Procurement Manager and Supplier Management• Support in the implementation of ERP ensuring data integrity and continued support to the business• Manage Project Procurement spend and budget ensuring all project forecasting is accurate and identify/mitigate risks and exploit opportunities• Realise and deliver cost savings, together with a range of additional benefits including improved supplier performance, improved quality of service and total cost of performance along with risk management• Manage/resolve SLA breaches of contract to provide a positive outcome to the businessPerson Specification:• Professionally recognised purchasing qualification (MCIPS)• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to lead key negotiations at a senior level• Experience of delivering cost efficiencies with third party suppliers• Extensive experience managing complex supplier and organisational relationships• Ability to build informal authority and influence key decision makers• Confidence to manage budgets and undertake financial forecasting• Excellent communication, presentational and interpersonal skills• Self motivated and proactive, enjoy working under pressure• Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity and an appetite to address the toughest commercial challenges
