Sales/Business Manager – Asian Automotive OEM

Excellent salary + Commission plan + Pension + Benefits

My client with its headquarters in Switzerland, is the global leading producer of vehicle acoustics and thermal management systems. They develop and manufacture components, modules and complete systems for interior and engines as well as heatshields and underbody shields. Customers include leading automobile producers in the key markets of Europe, North America, South America and Asia. They are represented at around 50 locations in over 20 countries and employs more than 11,000 people worldwide.

Due to a restructure they now seek to appoint a Sales/Business Manager for their Asian automotive OEM customer base.

The Role:

Managing a team of 7, 4 of which are sales engineers you will be responsible for developing profitability through a number of high profile Asian, automotive OEM customers.

The main responsibilities are:

* Create sales opportunities of the full product portfolio through full client engagement within each customer
* To develop the customer relationship on all hierarchical levels with the customers with an emphasis on purchasing and engineering divisions
* To manage the business along full product life cycle from pre acquisition to EOP in spare part management and all time demands
* To develop in depth market and competitor analysis in developing and implementing customer strategy
* To define the customer business acquisition strategy as an integrated part of the strategic planning process
* Conduct price negotiation, contract management including delivery conditions
* To manage Central Business Unit team (7) with core business processes and resource requirements to comply with company standards.
* Develop staff and skill development for the team to comply with business requirements

Travel plays a part for this role in the fact that your customer base is in Asia, with them having manufacturing plants throughout Europe also.

The Candidate:

Based from the UK, ideally you will have had experience of selling a manufactured product or service to the Asian, Automotive OEMS, whilst having had demonstrable experience managing and leading successful teams. Project experience in the automotive sector is a nice to have, with comprehensive knowledge of the automotive industry.
