With several sites in the UK and Europe, they design, develop and manufacture products of a very specialist nature.

The Role

As Master Production Scheduler you will report to the Head of Business Support helping to identify and implement system and process improvements, lead the sales and operations planning (SOP) process and manage resource and capacity planning.


Identify and implement system and process improvements.
Improve forecasting tools and procedures through application of innovative ideas and projects.
Analyse stock levels and product demands to determine reorder levels and safety stocks to ensure product availability and minimal inventory costs.
Promote and develop positive communication with Programmes and Sales & Marketing to improve forecast accuracy.
Develop and manage forecast for short and long range material planning while considering current stock, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and production capacity.
Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP) process.
Manage resource and capacity planning.
Manage weekly/monthly scheduling meetings.
Develop and maintain forecast, master schedule and procurement plan.
Review and update forecast, production schedules and material requirements.
Support new product development scheduling.
Proactively review material supply and demand to determine actions appropriate to MRP requirements.
Coordinate and plan material requirements for new product introductions, including review of new BOM's.
Review material shortages, stock outages and safety stock levels.


Proven experience with complex planning, forecasting and product lifecycle programs.
Strong working knowledge of MRP, purchasing, parts distribution, inventory control, manufacturing operations.
An engineering/manufacturing background.
Proven people skills required, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Organizational and problem solving skills.
Experience with product development and understanding of product life cycles.
Knowledge of TROPOS and/or Primavera P6 an advantage though not essential.


Salary Dependant on Experience.

Based in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm & Fridays 8:00am to 1:00pm
