This is an exciting new role within Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain, that requires an entrepreneurial character to take it on. As the Operations Manager - Ecommerce you will have the change to make the operation in Burton-On-Trent your own.

This is a new role, an exciting role, that gives you the chance to make a real difference to an already fantastic brand. As the Operations Manager - Ecommerce you will be responsible for spearheading this area of the logistics operation to year on year growth and outstanding quality.

Managing around 40 operatives with a management team of 4 below you, you will also:

- Have the chance to interface with the internal and external customers, supply chain team and customer services to ensure the service levels are met and exceeded

- To take operational leadership and budget responsibility for managing a safe and efficient operation for the site.

- Be the driving force in any project plans and integration of the E-Commerce Operation into the site.

- Monitor stock control systems ensuring inventory accuracy and communicate with customer services to highlight stock availability

- Lead and develop all members of your team for succession planning, and to keep up an outstanding retention rate

- Act as the first point of contact for the customer relating to E-Commerce operation matters and build a good relationship to develop trust and ensure strong engagement

- Drive continuous improvement across all areas of the operation.

- To improve and educate health and safety awareness across the department at all levels


The successful candidate for the Operations Manager - Ecommerce position MUST have the following skills and experiences:

- Have managed an E-commerce Warehouse operations previously
- Be able to demonstrate achievements through continuous improvement and project leading in the past on their CV.
- Must be a "hands-on" "lead by example" Manager
- Shown clear progression throughout their career
- Have managed 30+ staff in a warehouse environment for a minimum of 2 years
- Have a minimal career moves in the last 5 years
- IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety trained would be desirable
- PRINCE 2 projects or Six Sigma qualification is desirable
- If worked in a Retail Ecommerce operation it would be advantageous.
