Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and engaging IT Auditor to help to shape and establish a newRisk function in a highly complex business in the West Midlands. This post will suit an engaging IT Auditor with experience of the full audit lifecycle and can quickly understand a complex business, and its various risks and controls.

My client is a complex engineering business based in Coventry in the West Midlands. They have a fantastic opportunity for an engaging and passionate IT Auditor to join their brand-new Risk Services function, quickly gain an understanding of the business and its processes and risks and make an impact. There may be very occasional travel to other offices, though this will be local (max 10 miles from the office)

The role:

- You will report to your IT Audit Manager and whilst you will have autonomy you shall build an effective working relationship with your Manager and communicateon progress, findings and any issues
- Conduct IT Audits across the business to provide oversight and challenge on deign and effectiveness of processes and controls to address and mitigate key risks
- You will work across the business engaging with the Risk team and stakeholders at all levels; providing oversight, expertise and influence where needed
- Perform investigations and IT Project risk assurance reviews
- Promote best practice and support continuous improvement
- Maintain your knowledge of the business and regulatory environment

About you:

- An IT Auditor with a passion for IT audit and experience of the fullaudit life cycle and IT project auditing
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels. Effective stakeholder management skills
- Ability to produce well written audit reports and terms of reference documents
- Professionally qualified or working towards a relevant professional qualification eg CISA
- Knowledge of COBIT framework and internal control frameworks
- Competent in Microsoft Office (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), Project and Visio.
- Knowledge of data analytics (e.g. ACL) and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma)
- You must be eligible to live and work in the UK
