Job Description

- Key Responsibilities
- Liaising directly with the customer (internal or external) to understand their requirements
- Leading the calibration activities on transmission projects. This include the planning of the activities, the follow-up of the calibration maturity, reporting to C&E project lead
- Support the creation of transmission calibration guidelines and tools
- Hands-on calibration activities in all areas of the software (high level and shift maps, torque control, actuators control). Support climatic calibration trips.
- Support the construction of the software validation plan

Personal Attributes

Must have:

- Degree qualified (Science or Engineering) with a minimum of 5 years' industry experience
- Previous calibration experience with transmission (high want)
- Experience of automotive systems (ideally with passenger car and commercial vehicle experience)
- In vehicle calibration experience
- Working knowledge of a calibration tool, e.g. CANape, INCA, CRETA
- An ability to work under pressure within tight timescales, independently as well as within multi-disciplinary teams
- A degree of flexibility and a willingness to travel abroad (for short periods of time)


- Test rig calibration experience
- Ability to define and follow a calibration process
- Ability to support calibration methodology guide development
- Experience of desk top calibration process
- Working knowledge of Matlab / Simulink
- Experience of signing-off calibration against targets, e.g. Ricardo GSQA or AVL Drive experience
- Commercial vehicle driving license
