This rapidly expanding, automotive tier one organisation is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead and offer support to the Business Unit Manager. You will need to have past Automotive Tier one experience with past production supervisory exposure, coupled with knowledge of 5S, TPM and related qualification.

Salary: ? 32,000 p.a. including Shift allowance + benefits

The Role

The main purpose of the position is to manage the production performance, personnel issues and the Health, Safety and Environment standards. The main activities will be to achieve quality and delivery targets on the shift including performance factor in OEE. Through supervision of staff this individual will ensure adherence to set targets and standard work methods. It will also include developing the team, integrating new staff members and to advise and arrange for appropriate training.

The hours of work for this position for the three shift pattern will be: Morning and afternoon shift runs Monday to Friday and Nights is Sunday to Thursday. Mornings 6.55am - 3.00pm, Afternoons 2.55pm - 11.00pm and Nights 10.55pm - 7.00am.

The Person

You will be an experienced supervisor with familiarity from within a high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment (ideally automotive tier one) with the ability to work on your own initiative and make decisive decisions. Knowledge of 5S, TPM, ISO14001 and general automotive quality systems would be advantageous but not essential.

A willingness to work flexible hours is a must whilst strong communication skills and a proven ability to manage and develop staff is required. Ideally you will be educated to HNC/ONC level although this is preferred and not essential.
