This is a supported self-employed, uncapped commission only opportunity. Our average performers earn GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 a year; however top performers earn in excess of GBP60,000.

What will I be doing?

Everyone has heard of the AA. As well as being one of the UK's most recognisable brands we have been awarded Which? Recommended Provider status for the tenth successive year for our Breakdown Cover.

Our supported self-employed Direct Sales Agents promote and sell AA membership. That means having the best of both worlds - the freedom of working without direct supervision and being in charge of your own earnings, with the added bonus of backing and training from the AA to ensure you have the best tools and techniques to maximise your membership sales.

As a sales role, there will be targets to hit, and you may have unsuccessful days; therefore you need to be the type of person who loves to have goals to achieve and bounces back quickly after setbacks.

We will give you everything you need to get going:

•AA branded uniform and collateral
•Induction training
•And support and coaching from experienced managers

In return we ask for:

•A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to work to targets
•A willingness to work outside whatever the weather; be it pouring rain or glorious sunshine
•The ability to get to and from the sites which are provided to you (therefore a car is essential for most roles, due to the stand/collateral you will be transporting).
•A strong work ethic and a desire to achieve goals.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills.
•Full UK driving licence

The locations are second to none, and include a varied site portfolio maximising the best possible footfall, providing you with maximum opportunities and enabling you to make the most of every possible sale. You will work independently at locations such as shopping centres, motorway services and on high streets. We also work within an FCA regulated environment, so you will be expected to sell in an honest and compliant manner; ensuring that the quality of the AA brand is maintained.

Previous sales experience may be an advantage but is not essential. More important is your desire to succeed and contribute to our world-class brand.

This is a self-employed role, with a monthly franchise fee of GBP120 and you will also need to have public liability insurance in place.

What do I need?

•A demonstrable understanding of the business and the brand
•Previous experience of working in a dynamic and varied environment
•Excellent communication skills, both at one to one level, and in presentation form; verbally and in writing
•The ability to demonstrate active listening skills
•A good standard of literacy and numeracy
•To be able to gather appropriate information by asking relevant questions in order to clearly resolve the customer's issues
•Good problem solving expertise
•Outstanding organisation skills
•To be able to prioritise effectively and identify and resolve time conflicts
•You will be required to take out Public Liability insurance (up to GBP100 per year)
•You will be required to pay a small franchise fee of GBP120 (monthly automatic payment) this will cover your mobile, iPad, stand, merchandise and will contribute to our location fee's
