Rate of pay: £8.50- 9.50/hr

Nursing Assistants have a variety of responsibilities in the medical field, including performing administrative duties, completing basic clinical procedures, transporting patients, and providing assistance to nurses and other healthcare professionals. This occupation can be physically demanding, with standing for many hours and occasionally lifting or moving patients who require assistance.
Nursing Assistants fulfil basic quality-of-life needs for patients of any age in residential nursing care facilities or outpatient clinics. Since Nursing Assistants have daily contact with patients, they are gatherers of vital information about the patients’ conditions, which they must then transmit to their supervisors. A Nursing Assistants workload can become intense and fast-paced, but the human contact and ability to help those in medical need is a strong motivating factor. A desire to help people and compassion for patients can help a nurse’s assistant get through difficult days.
It is vital that cleanliness is maintained at all times to coincide with the Homes’ health and safety policies and ensuring patients nutritional needs are met. You will assist patients to gain access to the use of appropriate toilet facilities and to measure and record body waste/fluid accurately. You will also assist patients in sustaining their personal hygiene, grooming and dressing needs with specific concern for their religious, cultural and personal preference, ensuring that privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
You will have:

- A commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Senior Care Assistant or equivalent
You will be able to:
- Work within a small multi-disciplinary team.
- Prioritise your work load.
- Respond quickly to unexpected changes or situations and support and assist colleagues at all times.
