Vehicle Body Maker (Wolverhampton)
A leading Bus and Coach Company have a vacancy for an experienced VehicleBody Maker to join the team based at their Depot in Wolverhampton, West Midlands to assist Managers and Supervisors of the depot Engineering function to effectively maintain Company vehicles and premises in line with VOSA, Company and ISO 9001:2000 standards.
Key Accountabilities of the Vehicle Body Maker are:
To carry out the following tasks below on the required or relevant Company vehicles in your depot. In addition to any new vehicles your depot may acquire. The VehicleBody Maker will repair on a day to day basis all identified body defects in line with Company and Statutory standards. To repair defects and damage to all vehicles including the use of gas, MIG welding and gas cutting with the appropriate qualifications and training. To prepare vehicles for Annual MOT test. To inspect vehicles to Company and Statutory standards.
The Vehicle Body Maker will also carry out accident repairs from the VCR Drivers Report and VRR Inspectors Report. This will include glass, structure, paint, chassis, internal and external on all vehicles. To maintain documentation as per documented quality procedures, maintain good housekeeping and confirm to health, safety and environmental regulations and demonstrate flexibility in line with operational requirements. Vehicle Body Maker Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required
· NVQ level 3 or equivalent
· PCV or HGV knowledge is essential
· Current UK driving licence (car)
· Apprentice trained preferable
· Current UK PCV Driving Licence would be an advantage
