This Teaching Assistant position would suit a confident English graduate, with a 2:1 or above, who has a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience gained from a similar role, although experience is not essential. The successful candidate will have a passionate attitude towards education that will help them maintain the motivation needed for a teaching career. You will have an infectious passion for learning that will help create a similar understanding of the importance of education in their students.
As an English Teaching Assistant your role will involve you supporting teachers within the schools English department, mentoring with GCSE and A-level students. You will be shadowing a Class Teacher and oscillating between leading 1:1 sessions and small group support. Your responsibilities will include helping to put together exciting, innovative lesson plan ideas that will inspire the class.
