We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a suitably qualified and experienced Bursar who will be responsible for the Charities Financial, Operational and Estate Management.
The role requires a strategic thinker who is operationally strong and is an outstanding communicator at all levels. The Bursar is also Clerk to the Trustees and must be capable of proactively and confidently making recommendations to the Governing body.
The successful candidate will be organised, resilient, possess strong influencing and relationship skills and have a proven track record of management at a senior level. Financial literacy and robust judgement are essential requirements; a formal professional accounting qualification and prior experience of the Charitable or Not for Profit sector is strongly desirable but is not essential. Experience of managing listed buildings would also be an advantage.
Offering a salary in the region of £17 to £18k per annum for 20 hours work per week worked over five days. Holiday entitlement is 28 days per year pro rata to the hours worked which includes Bank Holidays.
