Field Service Engineer (m/f) for Laser-Sinter-Systems based in UK

The job requirement is for a well presented FSE (m/f) to work both within a small professional team and also independently at customer sites. The travel would be within the UK with the further potential requirement of short-term working at some of our international customers. The FSE's conduct should be in accordance with the company's goals and values and comply with the company's health and safety policy. The position is home based, however, the UK office is based in Warwick.

Your tasks

  • You will support in the installation, system introduction, maintenance, upgrading and repair of our EOS Laser-Sinter-Systems on-site at our customers in UK
  • Solve technical issues always proposing innovative ideas and solutions and ensuring the highest level of customer care
  • Take over customer briefings and trainings
  • Administration and functional duties
  • Dispatching is done within the team in UK directly
  • Participation in intensive in-house-trainings on our systems and technology
  • Your profile

  • The minimum educational requirement is ONC within an electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Excellent fault diagnosis skills with the ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams
  • Experience in system calibration and process optimisation
  • Understanding of pneumatic, temperature control and PLC controlled systems (not programming)
  • Experience of working on high value capital equipment
  • Excellent computer skills (PC, MS Windows, MS Office, internal software)
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English, good knowledge of mathematics
  • Flexible and adaptable; willing to travel, customer site and field service (travelling estimated to be 70%)
  • Team spirit, very good communication abilities, customer orientation and cultural awareness
  • Ability to cope with pressure, work independently and solution-oriented (also with respect to the costs)
  • A valid driving licence is essential
