Briggs Equipment is the exclusive UK distributor for Hyster and Yale forklift trucks and a leading national distributor of materials handling equipment.

We have an exciting new vacancy for a PR Officer to join our Marketing team based at our Cannock Head Office.

The successful PR Officer will be responsible for;

  • Planning publicity and social media strategies/campaigns that are tailored to the needs of the business and support the growth strategy
  • Writing press releases and producing engaging social media content e.g. infographics
  • Producing or commissioning (where appropriate) photography/video of people, places, applications as necessary
  • Administering and publishing content across Briggs profiles including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram keeping up to date with emerging best practice
  • Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations and managing the Briggs media centre
  • Publishing news items and blog posts on the Briggs website
  • Organising promotional events such as press conferences, open days, press tours and visits
  • Generating material on new products or services and other promotional opportunities
  • Analysing media coverage both on and offline activity and producing a monthly PR report on performance against targets
  • Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research to support the PR strategy
  • Designing, writing and/or producing press releases, articles, leaflets, 'in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for websites and promotional videos

The successful PR Officer will demonstrate;

  • Experience of managing PR relationships either from agency or client
  • Experience of writing and submitting editorials
  • Managing corporate social media content
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

The successful PR Officer will command;

  • A base salary up to £22,000pa
  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
