Training Assessor/Learning Instructor

Brief Overview

Our client is currently looking for a Learning Instructor/Machining Instructor (Milling/Turning/Programming)

This role is an exciting opportunity, which has arisen to join an Apprentice Team.

On offer is an excellent opportunity to help train the next generation of manufacturing engineers within an excellent manufacturer.

This role would suit a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Instructor, with a well-rounded knowledge in Manual or CNC Turning and Milling and programming.

The role:

  • Using forward-thinking technology to design, develop, deliver and maintain a high standard of learning solutions to apprentices and other employees, ensuring employees receive an experience effective to meet the future skills requirements of the business. The delivery of training will include both classroom and workshop delivery.
  • Maintaining and providing management information as required e.g. Framework Records, Business Records and Performance Records, ensuring that all apprentices achieve timely completion. This will include individual as well as group coaching and the writing of formal reports.
  • Guiding and advising internal businesses and external training providers on the training and delivery of Machining skills to meet the required standards of the company.
  • Modelling the company's values, behaviours, and Culture (HPC) to be regarded as an influential role model who is able to coach and support the apprentices in achieving measurable change.
  • Demonstrating a sound understanding of current working practices to liaise proactively with internal and external stakeholders to validate training programmes, ensuring that current and future business needs are being met.
  • Ensuring that learning activities and projects comply with all standard L&D policies, programmes and tools.
  • Managing the appropriate training needs of individuals to meet national standards/company competency standards and the satisfaction of customers.
  • Demonstrating a sound knowledge of Process Excellence/Continuous Improvement Methodologies. Actively embedding these working practices across all aspects of training.
  • Managing projects to ensure all milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner. This could include external exchange programmes and designing of new training solutions.
  • Ensuring that safe working practices and procedures are maintained at all times.
