Job Title:Project Engineer

Our client is looking for an Italian speaking Project engineer to join their busy team.

Please note only Italian speaking candidates with be considers as this is an integral part of the role .

Overall Purpose of Job:

*To ensure that new/modified Products are introduced on time and to budget.
*Lead project review meetings
*Maintain NPI gateway documents
*Manage Project open issues list
*Facilitate Weekly NPI meetings
*Manage new and existing suppliers to ensure on time, to budget, and quality supply of outsourced items
*Internal and External Customer communication

Principal Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
*The Project Engineer shall be responsible for all projects assigned to them by the NPI Program Manager
*Hold regular project review meetings, having a key role in developing and maintaining effectual liaison with customers Internal & External and communicating project progress
*Ensure that products are developed and delivered to meet contractual requirements
*Manage and control the tracking of assigned projects against budget and agreed schedule using the NPI gateway documents & NPI KPI measures
*Create and maintain project open issue lists (OIL) and chasing progress of outstanding items
*Update management at weekly NPI meeting on project progress and highlight any issues that need management decisions
*Manage ECR's created for live NPI & existing projects
*Maintain regular communication with customers on project progress
*Monthly reporting to NPI Program Manager
*Creation of project timing plans
*Take ownership and responsibility for quality and be pro-active in the role of achieving the company target of 100% business quality and product conformance
*Proactively embark on problem solving and continuous improvements to effectively reduce the cost of internal scrap and customer returns
*To support manufacturing in providing product to customers "On Time and In Full"
*Implement and maintain visual management of processes and performance
*Observe and comply with all aspects of the following International Quality & Environmental Systems and Company Operating Procedures
*All employees have a legal duty to take care for their own Health and Safety and that of others, co-operate on Health and Safety Issues, use PPE in the designated areas and respect anything that is provided for their Health, Safety or Welfare
*To undertake any other duties as may be required within the scope of the post and participate as and when necessary in companywide initiatives and projects.

Performance Measures:
*Adherence to required project KPI targets
*Delivery of project gateways on time and to budget
*Adherence to project timing plans
*Adherence to QAF timings
Person Specification

Essential Skills:
*Fluent in Italian
*Flexibility to work location as period of time will be spent at Customer sites across the UK and Europe

Knowledge and Specific Skills:
*Knowledge and experience of creating APQP,SPC, FMEA, PPAP and Control Plans
*Considerable Plant or Project Quality Experience
*Experience of Panel checking fixtures, gauges used in BIW Measurement
*Knowledge and experience of using project management tools.
*Familiarisation with various PC Microsoft based software
*Understanding of Customer Product Quality expectations
*Ability to read engineering drawings
*Ability to either drive through change
*Experience/Knowledge of CAD
*Body In White (BIW) Engineering or pressing experience
*Knowledge of BIW Skin Panels
*Experience within a TS16949 environment

*Relevant degree and/or time served qualification desirable
