An opportunity for a talented Senior Artworker to join the artwork studio of one of the region's most prolific and prestigious integrated agencies.
As part of this fast-paced artwork studio, you will be preparing design files to a digital reprographic standard ready for pre-press production, and producing artwork for press ads, POS, brochures, leaflets, and direct mail pieces on a daily basis. The role will see you producing large brochures, using recognised timesaving working practices, manipulating and retouching imagery as required, creative artworking from both scamps and verbal briefs, generating a full suite of campaign pieces, producing web banners and email templates, producing mock-ups of items, liaising regularly with Creative and Account teams, and occasional training juniors and contacting clients. You should also be happy to be flexible and to work outside regular office hours when necessary.
What we're looking for:
Experience as an Artworker or Creative Artworker in a Mac environment is certainly required, preferably in a busy and fast-paced setting combining print and press production. You will need thorough knowledge of the latest production / print techniques, good typographic and design skills, experience in creating artwork from scamps or verbal briefs, and familiarity with image retouching and manipulation. You will be able to deliver accurate and high quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines while demonstrating excellent attention to detail, and be able to artwork quickly and comprehensively to a high standard. You should also be well organised, reliable, hard-working, able to work alone and as part of a team, self-motivated, enthusiastic (particularly about your work!), conscientious, professional, and thorough, with excellent communication skills.
In terms of technical skills, you must be fully conversant with the latest Mac hardware and system software, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Excel, PDF technologies, and methods of artwork despatch (such as Quickcut / Adfast / FTP); knowledge of Adobe Animate, Google Web Designer, AdWords / Double Click, and HTML / HTML5 would all be advantageous. A degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design / Visual Communications or similar would be beneficial but is not essential, as experience is key.
