And, of course, there's lots of phone contact involved too, both with suppliers and customers. Handling it all smoothly and efficiently makes a huge difference to the success of the whole business. We’re all part of one team, working in the same fast paced, exciting environment and sharing the same mission - to be the UK's best value supermarket, with the customer at the heart of everything we do.
We’re proud of our warm and friendly service. It’s what our customers love and have come to expect. So we’ll always expect you to:
- Answer the phone in a warm, friendly and polite manner
- Collect and check Warehouse delivery documentation for accuracy
- Check and file Returns Centre paperwork
- Request reports, entering data being security conscious
- Ensure retained information is correctly stored
- Topping up supplies for all the printers in store
- Distributing mail
- And much more
Our Administration team Colleague collates information produced by other departments in the store. Therefore a good working relationship is essential. The Administration department is ultimately responsible for the store’s accountability in relation to the paperwork around purchases, claims etc.
A large percentage of paperwork generated is related to deliveries into the store, transfer of products in/out of the store, product returns etc. The Admin Department is where the whole operation is brought together to ensure we have accurate retail accountability. Whilst your role in the Admin Office is predominantly non-customer facing, some tasks, such as answering the phone or collecting paperwork, will require you to go onto the shop floor where your customers are.
