We are looking to recruit a Site Manager for a Construction Contract based in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, B11. Our Client is a National Construction Contractor looking for a reliable and experienced Site Manager for their project in Birmingham.
The contract is 2 school refurbishment projects. You will be mainly based on the site in Sparkbrook, B11, however, once a week you would be required to travel to Stechford and check the progression of works on their other school refurb project in Stechford.
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
Managing a site team including Tradesman and Subcontractors ensuring works are being carried out to programme and within budget
Monitoring Health and Safety on site
Attending progress and Client meetings
Liaising with the and resolving any potential issues that may arise
Striving to achieve production targets and carry out programming and monitoring to ensure that deadlines are met
Reading and understanding specifications, drawings, preliminaries, preambles and contract documentation
Requisition and management of materials/delivery and staff
Liaising with the design team to maintain good working relationships
You must have SMSTS & First Aid certificates and preferable a CSCS Managers card. You would also need previous experience of working on school refurbishment projects.
The role is to start with effect from August 2017 and will run throughout the 6 weeks school holidays. This would also mean that the successful candidate would not be permitted any holidays during this 6 week period.
