OTE c£45,000 +
The role of Business Development Manager (BDM) is a varied and rewarding position. The key objectives are to achieve sales and margin targets for a defined geographic territory, open profitable new accounts and build strong relationships with existing customers.
The successful candidate will have a food service background. Applicants will be considered from any sales background from within the food service industry.
Applicants must have a full driving licence, will be energetic and self-motivated and confident presenters with good food industry knowledge and the ability to build strong foundations with customers ensuring they can provide great Customer Service. They must have a positive 'can do’ attitude, be keen to learn new skills and have a desire to make a difference.
Responsibilities of the role are:
To achieve sales and margin targets.
Win and retain profitable new business.
Grow and further develop existing customer numbers.
Manage your territory, diary and call cycles.
Identify category gaps, complete all sales documentation, with a good level of detail and in a punctual manner.
Work with other internal teams and suppliers to maximise opportunities.
Gain a full understanding of sales and margin performance vs targets.
Geographic sales area is Birmingham: Applicants must be living on 'patch’ to be considered.

Basic Salary: c£28,000 - £30,000, negotiable dependant on relevance of experience. (Please note if you are currently in sales within the food service industry on a higher basic please talk to me so we can talk to the employer)

Bonus: As this is a dual role position (approx. 50/50 split between account management and new business) bonus can be achieved on two levels: For example:-
Existing customer growth quarterly bonus.
New, retained accounts, (based on GP), monthly bonus
Annual bonus of £2,500 at Christmas.
It is possible to earn an additional £11,000 + per annum
The position comes with a company car, mobile phone and laptop.
