A permanent Qualified Public Sector Audit job with a Top 10 Accountancy firm in Birmingham paying up to £40k

Your new firm

You will be joining a Top 10 accountancy firm based in Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands. You'll be working for the firms Public Sector team which has a National presence and covers various sectors including Local and Central Government, the NHS, Housing Associations and Education Bodies.

Your new role

You will be working on external audit clients covering predominately the Housing and/or Universities/College sectors. You will be joining the firm in a senior role around the Assistant Manager level so it is expected that you will work with a high level of autonomy in your own assignments, whilst maintaining a high degree of communication with the rest of the team.

You will be expected to plan and project manage all aspects of the audit assignments whilst complying to the firms professional standards. You will report directly to the Manager and Partner of the team and will be expected to build strong working relationships with your clients in order to maintain the firm's outstanding reputation within the market.

What you'll need to succeed

It is expected that applicants will be qualified either CIPFA, ACA or ACCA with a number of years post qualified experience. Ideally you will have numerous years of experience within an accountancy firm working in their Public Sector team. It is preferred that applicants will have specific experience of Housing Associations and/or Universities/Colleges in external audit.
