PERM - FINANCE ADMIN ASSISTANT - BIRMINGHAM - 16-20Kpa + BENEFITS

Our client requires a proficient Finance Admin Assistant to join our Accounting Department. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager whereby main responsibilities will include:

  • General Credit Control; to manage the outstanding balances, confirm payment dates and amounts etc. before accounts become overdue, to chase overdue payments and liaise regularly with the Business Systems Manager on those that remain outstanding.

  • Ad hoc filing of accounting records

  • Assisting with Month End - filing, posting cash, printing reports etc.

  • Answering the telephone/covering Reception when necessary

  • Preparing bank statements for reconciliation

  • Answering customer/supplier queries

  • Updating system records for customers/suppliers

  • General IT admin when required, e.g. liaising with external I.T providers.

  • Other general admin

Tasks to be undertaken to cover when required:

  • Banking/posting cash

  • Invoicing

  • Issuing proforma's

  • Order entry/amendments (Sales and Purchase)

  • Purchase ledger invoice entry

Requirements:

  • Organisational skills and attention to detail essential

  • AAT Student or Accounting experience advantageous

  • Flexibility within the role crucial

Knowledge of Excel advantageous
