LOGISTICS PROJECTS CO-ORDINATOR

ST5 Newcastle-under-Lyme

Main Duties:

Customer satisfaction:

  • Achieve 100% delivery to Customers Schedules for Pre-Job1 Phases
  • Responsible for liaising between Customers & Plants regarding supply issues
  • Responsible for negotiating related Logistics cost allocation with Customers
  • Maintain excellent relationship with Customers
  • Ensure prompt response to Customers' requests
  • Attend Customers reviews

Internal projects:

  • Attend Core Team reviews supported by the Updated Project Status sheet
  • Understand the impact of different functions' activities on MRD date & negotiate accordingly
  • In case of deviations, ensure cost allocation (Special Freight / Liability / Over time) is agreed & mentioned in meeting minutes

Organising Work:

  • Participate in Departmental meetings
  • Develop and implement action plans permanently
  • Recommend, develop and implement continuous improvement actions of the Projects processes, procedures, policies, activities and reports
  • Identify performance deviations and develops action plans for corrections

Problem Solving

  • Help and assist in problem solving, utilizing proper analytical tools & problem solving techniques

Special costs:

  • Minimize Raw material & Finished Goods special freight costs
  • Minimize Overtime cost
  • Ensure that special freight cost is properly allocated to relevant cost centers in advance

Procurement:

  • Support the Procurement of raw materials required for pre-Job1 Phases to LWSE, LWSRO, LWSMA, & Sample Area UK

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Competent IT user: MS Office, ERP system knowledge
  • Technical competence in logistics, materials management and control and customs
  • Project Management knowhow
  • Team-work oriented attitude
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Determination
  • Negotiating skills
  • Fluent in English (additional German and/or French is an advantage)
