Permadoor (part of the Epwin Group) are currently recruiting for a Despatch Team Leader.

Reporting to the Despatch Manager, the role of Team Leader is to provide punctual deliveries using internal and 3rd party couriers. The delivery of this service will at all times will remain compliant with external enforcement agencies and statute law. The Team leader will have the responsibility in the leading of the despatch team in order to achieve delivery schedules, costs, process quality and employee safety.

Mandatory Responsibilities

·Adherence to all organizational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.

·Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.

·Represent the organization in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.

·Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values.

Key Responsibilities

·To plan all routes in a measurable and effective manner ensuring drivers hours remain compliant.

·Regularly monitor driver’s hours and breaks in line with enforcement agency requirements and their legal policy.

·Ensure all vehicle pre-checks are carried out punctually and filed in a suitable manner

·Organize daily team duties to ensure all deliveries are complete and on time.

·Produce the daily pick sheets and ensure loading is carried out on time and safely

·Liaise with 3rd Party courier and make suitable arrangements for the timely collection and delivery of goods

·Deliver excellent customer service and build strong working relationships with customers.( Internal + External)

·Ensure compliance with all company policies, management procedures, systems of work and standard operating procedures.

·Office and vehicle housekeeping is maintained at the required standard through application of 5’s practice

·Achieve; quality, performance, and manning to meet demand targets.

·Champion required meetings, (When applicable).

·Communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.

·Ensure all outputs are to the required quality standards.

·Maintain levels of personal competence through CPD.

·Champion continual improvement activity and act as a change agent throughout the organization.

·Maintain a flexible approach to operations

·Assist picking and loading doors on Transport

·To support the Dispatch Manager
