The right candidate will be a dedicated and positive Science graduate who has at least received a 2:1 in your degree and the skills to encourage pupils to exceed all expectations. The Teaching Assistant will be a success-driven individual who can use your communication and people skills to quickly build strong working relationships. The Teaching Assistant will provide a strong passion for supporting special educational needs pupils.

As a Science Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting teaching and learning in the Science Department. To help raise attainment in targeted areas, you will lead small booster sessions outside of the classroom to reinforce the literacy and numeracy skills of your pupils. The Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to support SEN pupils using individual strategies created by the SENCO and Inclusion Manager, with input from the teachers. The Teaching Assistant will also be helping to arrange extra support for EAL pupils and learning from your class teacher mentor.
