Business Development Manager (Field Based)

Up to £40,000 basic, OTE: £55,000-£60,000pa (Growing Year-On-Year)

We are delighted to present a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK.

Due to my clients continued success and number one status within their sector, an exciting new Business Development Manager (BDM) opportunity has become available.

The successful Business Development Manager will need to be based in or around the upper-Midlands area and must be prepared to travel up to 4 hours to visit clients.

The role:

Reporting to the Head of New Business the successful applicant will be responsible for selling Business-to-Business (B2B) telemarketing campaigns to a range of companies, SME through to large blue chip organisations. As the first visual point of contact for our client, you will need to be ultra-professional, with a proven track record of pitching/presenting a service based offering to varying level decision makers.

This opportunity is 100% field based with the majority of your leads coming from our client’s specialist marketing team based in the UK. You will however need to be proactive and therefore continually seeking out own business opportunities, whether that’s through cold calling, networking events etc.

Despite being a field based role you will be required to attend a monthly sales meeting in our client’s flagship offices on the South coast (Portsmouth).

Your profile:

  • A dynamic and proactive sales professional with a proven track record in field sales
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Extensive Business-to-Business/B2B Sales experience
  • Preferably corporate sales experience as opposed to commercial (ideally a mixture of sectors)
  • Experience of formulating proposals and presenting these to clients
  • A demonstrable history of closing sales/ negotiating contracts with the revenue figures to back this up
  • Superior organisational skills/ time management
  • Exceptional presentation skills with a crisp professional image

Desirable:

  • A background in selling Business to Business telemarketing solutions

Additional requirements:

  • A full UK driving license and access to own vehicle
