Required: GPhC Registration & UK Hospital Experience

Day Webster are currently recruiting for Locum Pharmacist to cover this CCG locum assignment in the Midlands. Starting ASAP this role will be full-time (09.00-17.00) and is expected to be for 3 months initially with a likelihood of extension.

Desirable qualities include:
Medicines management experience in CSU/CCG
Post Graduate Diploma
Up to date IG Training

Duties will include but may not be limited to:

Undertake NHS England Project work –
• Dispensing appliance work, unlicensed medicines, quality payments scheme, reporting, helpdesk function, point of contact utilising a project management approach to facilitate their implementation.
• Required to develop clinical guidance and policy and advise the client on their decision-making and implementation.
• Make decisions in the best interest of the project delivery as agreed with the project board.
• Pro-actively manage stakeholders, respond to and resolve conflict between different stakeholders when this arises through facilitation or other appropriate mechanisms.
• Be responsible for a high standard of work supporting the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner. Maintain the project initiation document and associated plans with regular team meetings to monitor progress and resources.

Working on rebate schemes

• The post holder will effectively negotiate medicine rebates based on usage for individual CCGs. This will include contracts and making recommendations to CCGs. This will be an expanding area and will require identification and implementation of contracts
• The post holder will have to analyse high level prescribing data to provide CCGs with invoices for claiming back rebate sums.

In order to be considered for this role it is essential you have recent UK Hospital experience along with GPhC registration, excellent communication skills are essential.
