Headlam, Europes leading distributor of floorcoverings, currently have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Operations & Logistics Manager to be based at their Head Office in the West Midlands. This is a great time to join Headlam as the business embarks on a number of transformational change projects to further develop it’s market leading proposition.
The newly created Operations & Logistics Strategy Planning Manager role provides a fantastic opportunity for a bright, ambitious and experienced individual to support the development of operational excellence through implementing change and focusing on continuous improvement across all warehousing & distribution UK wide. This new position provides great potential for the ideal candidate to further scope and develop the role, however to be considered candidates will need to evidence the following experience:
• Proven track record in driving Warehousing & Distribution change and continuous improvement resulting in a tangible successes within a similar multi site, retail/trade/distribution environment.
• Implementation of resource planning and inbound & outbound scheduling systems such as Paragon.
• Practical application of Lean/Sigma principals and capable of delivering outstanding results through successful project delivery. Ideal project experience to include Dynamic Route Planning and Supply Chain Planning.
This fantastic opportunity will suit a dynamic and experienced operations, warehousing and logistics professional looking to apply their project delivery, change and continuous improvement experience within an industry leading FTSE PLC. It is essential experience has been gained within a similar fast paced environment, working to next day delivery standards. Candidates able to evidence a progressive and continued career within warehousing and distribution, with strong people skills and a proven track record of leadership are required. A relevant Degree & CPC would be highly advantageous. Competence with IT systems is essential.
This position will be based at the Headlam Group Head Office in Coleshill, West Midlands and will require travel to other sites UK wide. There is also a small amount of European travel involved. A Driving Licence is an essential requirement of the role.
