Senior Electrical Engineer
The successful electrical wiring component engineer will help design, develop, and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.
The role of Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Junction Box Engineer will offer you a chance to not only creatively exploit your drive and forward thinking but also be part of a team rolling out a new strategy for our fuse and junction boxes across vehicles. With a significant growth of electrical features requiring more fusing and wiring, we are on course to develop new strategies to cope with this new opportunity without putting unnecessary cost and weight into our vehicles. This has meant the development of new boxes to cover all the requirements of 12V, 48V, and HV systems.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will revolve round the specification and development of new junction boxes as well as providing support in developing and deploying a new junction box strategy.
The successful candidate will have excellent project management skills which you'll have honed preferably within an automotive or electrical environment through delivering electrical projects to a high standard.
It is likely that you'll have previously dealt with key suppliers, including Purchasing within Product Engineering, and various systems owners to agree on fusing requirements.
Possessing experience within an EDS core team will be advantageous, as will knowledge of junction box suppliers, electrical component or connector delivery products.
You'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan, and a performance-related bonus scheme.
