I am currently working with a leading business based in Burton on Trent, they are looking to recruit a marketing services manager into their team. The role requires an individual who has proven leadership qualities, is able to provide a clear vision and purpose, and motivate the team to achieve their objectives.

Role & Responsibilities

  • The ability to establish, protect and maintain high quality, effective data is essential
  • The position will have overall responsibility for the development, implementation and management of their market leading services
  • Develop and implement a customer-centric culture.
  • Ensure each team member clearly understands how their role contributes to the overall department and business objectives
  • Identify and nurture individual strengths, creating an environment where the team are motivated, productive and high performing
  • Clearly establish a customer segmentation strategy and ensure all services are tailored and targeted to maximise opportunities
  • Help create a complete process to receive, qualify, follow up and manage all incoming sales leads and enquiries
  • Develop an efficient and robust system to respond effectively to all literature and sample requests, technical and general enquiries
  • Implement and maintain efficient data management systems, to ensure quality and management tools are used to enhance the value of company data
  • Overall responsibility for the recruitment, training and continual performance improvement of all team members
  • Set clear goals and objectives, encouraging and motivating all team members to work together to the best of their abilities
  • Working closely with the Technical Manager to ensure the systems comply and adhere to British Standards and be continually aware of the impact of any changes to industry legislation
  • Develop and manage on-going Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in accordance with overall goals and objectives
  • Provide detailed reporting on all KPI’s on a monthly basis
  • Help maintain and improve their on-line technical tools and services, ensuring all information provided is regularly updated
  • Ensure strict compliance to Data Protection rules and principles


  • Ideally educated to degree level
  • Experience working in a service related environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement
  • Have a can do attitude and be able to inspire and motivate the team to work to the best of their abilities
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Develop a working knowledge of industry standards and practices ensuring compliance to all laws and regulations
  • Take ownership of the department processes, policies and procedures ensuring lean management and best practice principles are maintained
  • Effective presentation skills to stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to manage and maintain data to a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Previous coaching and training experience or able to clearly demonstrate an understanding of different learning styles and techniques
