I am looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a hi tech, cutting edge, electronics manufacturer based in Birmingham.
They are market leaders in their field and have a multi-channel customer profile including high street retail, wholesale as well as direct sales from their website.
Reporting to the CFO and based from their Central Birmingham head office, you will take day to day responsibility for the financial operations of the company.
Managing a small team your duties will be wide and varied - almost akin to a General Manager from time to time - but you can expect your core tasks to include responsibility for 'month-end', the P&L, cost analysis, liaison and management of suppliers (including the external auditor and the payroll provider) and responsibility for IS38.
In summary, you will need to demonstrate complete control of the day to day and long term financial health of the business - the detail and the strategy!!
The ideal Financial Controller will be ACCA qualified and either be from a manufacturing environment or from practice with exposure to a manufacturing client base.
Either way, you will have exceptional organisational skills and still 'enjoy' the detail whilst being able to deliver against the 'big picture'.
You will have worked in an environment where you were 'self-managed' but you won't be a maverick - we all have to report to someone!!
