This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our passionate and knowledgeable team. The successful candidate will repair, improve, and maintain the production plant and equipment in order to achieve optimum performance, while working safely at all times and in a timely manner.
What will I be doing in the role?
In the role as Maintenance Engineer you will;
Reduce equipment breakdown duration (mean time to repair), and reduce the frequency of breakdowns (mean time between failures)
Following instruction but be proactive in seeking out and solving concerns
Lead the completion of the fault finding to determine the root cause of failures and identify sustaining actions to prevent re-occurrence
Maintain daily records of activities and follow all department procedures and systems
Take an active role in site projects as requested
Assist in the reduction of plant downtime
Recommend working solutions to production, allowing them to meet the goals of the daily plan during breakdowns
Find innovative ways to overcome technical problems

Completed an electrical maintenance/engineering apprenticeship
Experience within an industrialised manufacturing environment
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Familiar with safety requirements e.g. Isolation and Permit’s To Work
Sound knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems
Sound knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations.
Good level of literacy and IT skills is essential for the role

Salary – Up to £32,500 dependent on skills and experience.
