Sheridan Maine is recruiting for an Finance Assistant to join a fast accountancy practice in Birmingham.

Our Client:

Sheridan Maine is thrilled to share a fantastic opportunity that is on offer at a large SME sized business. Our Client is recruiting due to expansion and wants an established finance person with bookkeeping expeirence to work with general accounting duties.

The Role:

As the Finance Officer you will assist in the accurate and timely maintenance of the financial records of all companies for which Birmingham Hippodrome has responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- You will maintain and post bank transactions
- perform bank reconciliations
- update daily and weekly cash flow
- preparing and posting journals
- sales invoices
- perform balance sheet control
- account reconciliations

Person specification:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate determination to go above and beyond in supporting growth with a passion for debt reduction.

Requirements include:

- Full accounts experience required
- The ability to make decisions about priorities and tasks anticipating likely difficulties and making contingency plans to recover debts
- Determination to set and meet specific targets
- AAT or Accounts Assistant background ideal
