We wish to appoint an experienced CAD Co-ordinator with Strong Revit MEP to enable further growth of our highly successful design & drawing team.
The role will involve coordination and production of Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health drawings using Autodesk Revit MEP although prior knowledge of this software is not essential as "in-house" training will be provided. The projects undertaken will be within the residential field varying from mixed use schemes to high rise, high end developments and as such, previous experience in the residential field will be an advantage although not essential. A working knowledge of BIM projects would be a distinct advantage.

- Working within a team and individually to produce and work within Revit whilst adhering to companies policies and procedures
- This is a permanent role and will be based at their head office in Telford

Key Responsibilities
- Produce drawings, As Built and Submittal drawings
- Review 2D/3D Models from consultants and contractors
- Conduct clash detection
- Manage / Update BIM Project Documents
- 3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification
- Develop, implement and maintain the BIM Protocol
- Create and maintain a BIM Coordination Programme that is aligned with the Project Programme.
- Identify any impact on the BIM Coordination Programme arising from errors in the transmission and use of information during the BIM process. - Keep a record of BIM models and their status.
- Establish quality control procedures to check that all of the models are accurate, the level of detail is fit for purpose. - Identify and document clashes between different discipline models using clash detection software.
- Ensure that each organisation has published a version of the model for each significant milestone stage as identified in the BIM Coordination Programme.
- Record and monitor shared data and relationships between models e.g. grids, floor levels, shared project coordinates.- Identify and agree any co-located or shared technical infrastructure needs, software package interoperability requirements and standards to be used by each team member to deliver BIM project.
- Administer the agreed document and model sharing/publication system
- BIM Collaboration Procedures.- Co-ordinate hand over of model and data at the agreed milestones in the BIM Coordination Programme.
- Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols
- Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other discipline.
- Helping to technically deliver CAD/BIM projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination
- Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team
- Produce bi- weekly update reports along with the associated drawings (PDF format) detailing changes made within the electrical model.
- Produce and update a drawing production schedule detail all revisions.- Agree timescales with the project team, regarding the production of information.- Liaise with the team to ensure timely review and integration of any changes associated with instructions received from the team.
Job Qualifications
As a BIM Coordinator you will need to be highly organised, detail-oriented, and hardworking and have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Building Services CAD Co-ordination. The individual will have worked for a contracting organisation or consultant. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2014-2016) Exposure to coordinating in a 3D environment, preferably using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit MEP

Specific qualification includes
- Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCAD
- Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
- Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
- Completed coursework in Construction, Architecture or an equivalent combination of training and or work experience.
- BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology
