The successful candidate will have a valid SC Clearance or be willing to have one sponsored by the client. Job Description:Analyse business change initiatives. Work with business change owners to gather, develop and document process maps and requirements. Producing "as is" and "to be" business process maps. Work with business change owners and suppliers (where required) to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and necessary information is available. Issue resolution between internal and external stakeholders.
Key Tasks & Deliverables:The Business Analyst is required to work for the Single Living Accommodation (SLA) Management Information System (MIS) Project Manager (PM) to support development of and deployment of Project SLAMIS to a large user-base at approximately 200 MOD sites across the UK. This will also deploy to overseas locations on completion of UK rollout. The Business Analyst will work in the Project "Change" role , primarily responsible to the Project Business Architect to define the scope and business priorities associated with the project whilst also capturing the as-is processes and designing the to-be processes to enable the implementation and deployment of SLA MIS. This work is key to ensuring the PM is fully enabled to deliver the project outcomes on behalf of the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO). The strategic necessity for MOD to understand its SLA assets is necessary to inform future estate optimisation planning and basing decisions. While Accn Policy and regulations exist, their implementation and the quantitative SLA data vary across the TLBs. The variances and unknown data prevent Defence from achieving the optimal levels of quality SLA at the point of need, and perpetuate a significant and costly reliance on substitute SLA and hotel accn. The SLAMIS will provide the capability to manage SLA at site, geographically and on a pan-Defence level to: • Ensure improved utilisation of existing SLA. • Establish the right shape of accn numbers for Defence needs. • Target a reduced reliance on substitute SLA through the above two bullets. The Business Analyst is essential in achieving the key deliverables of this complex Project, meeting Project and for providing guidance in the use of business analytical tools, processes and techniques. Activities include: defining the scope and business priorities , capturing requirements using standard techniques to capture functional and non-functional requirements. use of standard techniques to assist in managing stakeholders, use basic re-engineering techniques to investigate and re-design processes and management controls. Responsible for defining the project scope and business priorities whilst capturing the as-is processes and designing the to-be processes ensuring they align with business objectives.
Min 3 yrs broad base experience in working in a transformation role within complex organisations. Extensive UK travel. MOD/Service experience beneficial.
