Nursery Nurse/Senior Nursery Nurse and Before and After School Club Playworker - Solihull (B92)

Our client's nursery team are dedicated to providing a caring and stimulating environment, encouraging children to become independent and confident in the world around them. They offer childcare on a full time or part time basis, in addition to an afterschool club for older children.

They have a dedicated staff team who work together to meet the needs of the children. The nursery is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager, level 3 or above to join our team, and experienced with all ages 0-5 years

Level 3 Nursery Nurse

NVQ Level 3 qualified (or equivalent)

This is full time position based on 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

Your role will be to

  • Support the Room Leader with the running of the room
  • Act as a key worker for a group of children
  • Support children in their play and learning
  • Complete observations, next steps and planning
  • Keep Learning journals up to date
  • Support children's hygiene
  • Communicate with parents on a daily basis

Nursery Room Leader

This is full time position based on 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

The Candidate must have:

  • NNEB, CACHE NVQ level 3, or equivalent
  • At least two years post qualification in childcare experience in a UK based nursery
  • Experience of acting as Key person to children
  • Experience of supervising and leading other staff within the room
  • To be proactive in upholding the nursery's ethos to its clients
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • High standard of written and oral communication and comprehension skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to work flexibly within the rooms of the nursery
  • Willingness to take direction from line managers to provide the best possible nursery care practice
  • To work within the nursery's policies and procedures and to follow these at all times
  • Experience of monitoring and recording children's progress
  • Experience of working in a diverse and inclusive environment

Playworker for Before and After School Club

Hours: 7.30-9.00 and 3.00-6.00 Monday to Friday

The play worker will support the manager in providing a stimulating and varied programme of play, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with Children;
  • Team Work
  • Liaise with Parents/carers.
  • Activity Planning.
  • Supervision and Care of Children.
  • Direct Play work.

No qualifications needed we are happy to support training. A level 2 or 3 in play work/childcare is a bonus but not necessary.

Some experience of caring for, or working with children aged 4 - 12 in a voluntary or paid capacity.
