MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


To provide wages & salaried information and support, ensuring staff are paid in a timely and accurate manner at all times
Collation, preparation and management of 3 payroll runs, namely 4 weekly, monthly salaried and monthly directors, including but not limited to:


Control & maintenance of payroll records
Collection & processing of routine wages data
Ensuring payments are calculated, authorised & executed appropriately
Distribution of payslips
Appropriate maintenance & processing of pension information & data
Preparation of journals to ensure pay runs are properly accounted for in the general ledger
Routine reconciliations including monthly & annually
Ensure that all statutory payroll declarations are performed including monthly and annual returns
Processing & completion of P11D declarations
Being the prime point of contact for all payroll queries & liaison
Liaison with government & private organisations such as HRMC, local authorities & pension companies
Various routine and non-routine reports & tasks as required
To support the Financial Controller in the production of the monthly management accounts, including but limited to:
Production & posting of general ledger journals
Production & posting of general ledger journals
Ensuring control accounts are routinely & regularly reconciled
Collation of routine information to ensure good controls are maintained
Review of exceptional and unusual items as identified or requested
Contributing towards team effectiveness and assisting within the Department as required
Ensuring good working relationships are built and maintained within the Company and Team at all times
Be aware of and comply with all Company policies and work procedures, with specific attention to Quality, Security, Health & Safety
Ensure all Company assets are protected from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction and interference
Report security events or potential events which may result in a security risk for the Company

SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED
Numerate - must be able to work comfortably and quickly with numbers
PC skills
Attention to detail
Flexible and reliable
Good team player

EXPERIENCE
Experience of payroll processing is essential
Experience of Carval & Navision will considered advantageous
