Our client is a 'family’ of companies established to provide a range of homes and services for people who cannot access these services on their own. They are a not for profit organisation with a strong focus on delivering a successful business with social objectives.

They are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Development who will be working across their two sites in Stafford and Shrewsbury until their relocation to Telford in 12 months.

You’ll be a commercially focused individual who’ll drive forward the development, direction and promotion of

culture to deliver high quality homes and communities.

Leading the Development Team and overseeing the commercial property function, you’ll be responsible for using market intelligence, customer insight, customer feedback, management information and risk analysis to enable effective decisions about the development of their property portfolio and their commercial role.

You’ll build a culture in which high standards of service and performance are expected and which focuses on achieving results. You should have a history of exceptional team management skills, the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including reporting to Executives and Board, and be able to demonstrate a track record of outstanding achievements in your field.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll have a good understanding of the challenges the housing sector is facing and use this knowledge to design and drive customer focussed but commercially minded change across the organisation.

Your conscientious work ethic will ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. You’ll be seen as an ambassador for the organisation and you’ll develop excellent working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders including the relevant Boards and Committees.

A degree level education or equivalent through relevant training/ experience with a relevant professional qualification and evidence of continuous professional development are essential. A proven track record working with the Homes and Communities Agency in delivering grant funded development programmes is also required.

Your integral role in the team and the organisation will help ensure that the transformation into a modern, customer-focused business will be assured.
