We have an awesome opportunity for an ER Advisor to join our case management team within Serco’s HR Shared Service operations.
A key part of this role, is to provide pragmatic and pro-active day-to-day employee relations consulting/guidance for Serco People Managers, covering all areas of the employee lifecycle including performance, disciplinary, grievances, maternity/paternity, absence, restructuring, etc. In addition, you will manage cases successfully from beginning to resolution within the area of responsibility; ensure complete query resolution and timely closure of cases.
The ideal candidate will be confident and have passion for delivering a customer focused service within a fast paced environment, so you must be able to demonstrable: practical experience in managing complex ER cases; including redundancies; restructures; disciplinary; grievance and complex case management.
As the ER Advisor you will:
- Be CIPD qualified or working towards
Have excellent generalist/operational HR experience
Have practical experience in managing complex ER cases, including redundancies, restructures, disciplinary and grievance cases and complex case management
Be a creative ‘can-do’ attitude and preparedness to meet new challenges
Have a commercial and pragmatic approach to providing HR solutions
Have relationship management skills - e.g. influencing, stakeholder management, dealing and having with difficult conversations
Have excellent negotiation skills with confidence in communication
Be able to coach and develop people managers
- Be able to apply judgement to individual cases, make decisions and manage risks
Candidates must be willing to travel to other sites as and when required.
