Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include;

·Produce and issue the monthly Management Accounts pack with accompanying financial and operational commentary

·Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies

·Involvement in day to day transactional work as required including cashbook, sales ledger and purchase ledger activities

·Initiating bank payments for Director Approval

·Analyse actual costs e.g. labour, and vehicle, costs, to budget and report variances and root cause.

·Assist with the preparation of the budgets and routine forecasts working alongside the Finance Director

·Maintain and develop KPI’s and work toward the introduction of weekly flash reports and scorecards ensuring processes in place to for capturing data.

·Supporting the Finance Director to deliver ad hoc reporting to inform the business decision making process.

·Mentoring, coaching and developing the members of the finance team

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have previous Management Accounting experience and will be CIMA or ACCA newly qualified or actively studying part qualified with an excellent working knowledge of Excel – advanced excel would be an advantage, but needs to be highly proficient in deciding what formulas should be used and their application i.e. VLookups, Data Sorting, Pivot Tables.

You will also have good working knowledge of other Microsoft packages (Powerpoint/Word/Office) and be conversant and comfortable with different computer systems

Experience of using Sage Line 50 would be an advantage

You will have excellent analytical skills and be able to digest and simplify complex issues, with the ability to handle a large and varied workload and multi task while maintaining priorities and meeting key deadlines

You will set yourself high standards and will possess good presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively as this role will interact across the wider business
