Based at our Bed Factory in Oldbury (West Midlands), this is an exciting opportunity to join Dreams as a Purchasing Assistant, as it is a key role within our Purchasing Department. You`ll support the Purchasing Department by purchasing all material stock items required for customer sales orders.
-Raising and placing purchase orders with suppliers for specified materials, ensuring all goods are delivered within the required timescales
-Regularly assessing & monitoring the supplier`s performance to ensure that they meet the required expectations
-Monitoring stock material requirements frequently
-Manage the stock inventory levels so that they are maintained at an adequate level always
-Regular filtering of systems information to enable daily/weekly raw material product item requirements
-Working with Goods-In to ensure all details and stock codes are on all packaging, and accurately entered onto the database (Vision)
-Confirming delivery dates and communicating back to relevant departments
-Sourcing of material products/prices to maintain `Best value`
-Maintenance of Purchasing Department administrative records and data
You`ll be educated to a degree level, looking to develop a career within purchasing.
