Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Psychology graduate seeking an Assistant Psychologist role in Adult Healthcare?

If yes, this is the role for you! CAS behavioural health is one of the UK’s largest providers of specialist adult services in mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities.

Location: 3 days per week at Elms, Streetly Road, Birmingham, B23 3BD and 2 days per week at Cedars, Broadway Avenue, Bordesley Green, Birmingham, B9 5LY.

Elms and Cedars provide an intensive adult mental health rehabilitation service for patients with learning disabilities and other complex needs. Elms provides a service for up to 10 female patients and Cedars has up to 22 male patients.

The Opportunity

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will support the Qualified Psychologist in the delivery and evaluation of clinical services, providing psychological assessment and individual/group based psychological interventions under clinical supervision as required. You will facilitate therapeutic input to include; undertaking psychological assessments, report writing, behavioural management schedules, functional analysis and specific assessments.

You will have an active role in understanding, preventing and ameliorating psychological distress and disorder to help improve mental health and wellbeing of clients.

This role will also involve assisting in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate for this role will have a degree in Psychology (preferably 2:1 or above) or an equivalent, relevant qualification. Ideally, you will have some experience in an Assistant Psychologist role (employment or voluntary). We also require that the candidate should be registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS), or be eligible for graduate membership of the BPS.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in adult healthcare and any relevant experience in this field is advantageous.
