Business Improvement/Production/Warehouse OperativeWhat the company doThey make cushions for garden furniture and furniture manufacturers, they make pet cushions, they work with foam and poly fibre, they cut and sew material for furniture.They have a number of machines which fill the cushions, cut foam, pack and bind them together, cut material for filling, and there is the option to be trained for cutting material by hand, which is a very specific skill and used by many similar companies.Job roleThey require someone to work on the various machines, so you will be moving around.You will also be assisting with packing and warehouse duties.Mark requires someone who is keen, works hard, flexible in what they do, willing to learn and wants to progress.Although the basic duties will be based around the machines and warehouse duties, there is a lot of scope to assist with H&S with the unit, organisation of work areas and facility management.The successful candidate must have a flexible, enthusiastic attitude with good team working ability. The ability to follow instruction and self-motivation is also a pre requisite. Good IT skills are also essential combined with a minimum of 5 GCSE's grade A - E including Maths and English or equivalent.This is open to 16-18 year olds.
