Our Client, an international Tier 1 Automotive organisation is actively seeking an experienced Quality Liaison Engineer to join their established team based in the Coventry area.

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the role will be co-ordinate and follow-up with the quality activities of the program, reporting and recording any quality concerns found on any parts supplied by our Client.

Responsibilities will include:

*Reporting and recording all quality concerns found on company parts at the customers' assembly plant:

-Receive and monitor supplier and customer concerns.

-Acting as the "window" for communication between the customer located at the assembly plant and our Client.

-Collating and reporting back day to day concerns between the customer and our Client.

-Creating, issuing, co-ordinating and tracking 8D corrective action processes.

-Communicating with our Clients manufacturing plants to request and follow-up with outstanding data from the plants.

-Obtaining and monitoring all relevant Parts Submission Warrants.


Assist in ensuring the Quality function actively participates and supports in project and design activities:

-Supporting my Clients Project Management System and other APQP activities where required.

-Providing support for engineering activities within the Plant.

-Immediately reporting any major concerns and roadblocks to Management.


Co-ordination of rework activities:

-Checking manpower requirements for any in-plant activities.

-Controlling, training and education of agency rework staff located within the customers' assembly plant.


Maintaining compliance with Quality Systems:

-Strict adherence to the department's TS16949 procedures and instructions.


Qualifications and Experience

Ideally qualified to degree level within an engineering discipline (Preferably Electronics) but lesser qualifications with relevant experience will be considered.

Have previous experience within an Quality Engineering role preferably Automotive Electronics within a production and manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of Electronics - hardware and software.

Working knowledge of the specific requirements for automotive electronics.

Working knowledge of automotive systems and software.

Working knowledge of APQP, 8D, PPAP, and basic Problem Solving methods.

Excellent communication skills and strong Microsoft Office IT skills.


You must be willing travel on a national and international basis at short notice and with overnight stays and be in possession of a full driving licence and valid passport.

You be authorised to work within the UK and you will not require sponsorship.

Any additional language skills are useful, but this is not essential.
